charlie brown christmas - 1965
this inspirational cartoon, shows how much animation has changed in the last forty or so years. It has a much slower, more thoughtful pace an tackles adult issues from chilrens point of view. It explores commercialism and the true meaning of christmas, magical and heart warming.

Guitartown London

This traveling exhibition is at the moment situated on South Bank next to the Mayors building. I vistited on my experimental travel week and it was a fantastic experience. The guitars tower above you, each created by a different artist, including Paul Mcartny, Brian May, Keane e.t.c. The styles varied greatly between each item, from sketches and illustration, oil paintings cartoons, abstract, post modern to sculpture.
Us and them - what the british/americans think of the americans/british

I came across this illustrative book created by Paul Davis investigating the thoughts and feelings shared between our closest allies. A funny and imaginative read, showing real reactions and opinions of the general public both in America and the U.K, his illustration is childlike, scribbly and inaccurate but this adds to the charm of his work, very similar to the drawings of David Shrigley.

The teapot gallery - Maidstone Kent
I spent last week with a couple of friends engaging in "experimental travel". Investigating our city and surrounding areas (mainly in and around the M25) from a different point of view. Instead of viisiting the usual tourist attractions around London : big ben, the london eye, trafalgar square e.t.c we had a go at exploring town in unusual ways.
Firstly we bought Time Out London, to see if there were any exhibitions we could attend which we would not have normally heard of. We came accross this museum, an unusual but interesting choice : The Teapot museum, displaying over 4000 collectors teapots, from memorabilia of rock and pop legends, to art deco, to kitsch humerous gimmiks. It was an exciting exhibition exploring the thousands of ways one object can be created and manipulated.
fun and quintessentially british, especially when concluded with cream teas. Definatly worth a look if you are in the area.
