the language of football bbc sport

I recently saw this football advert which was interesting, a typographical look at sport. As the presenters commentated on famous goals and saves in great games, the words appeared on the field scurrying allong with the players, I'm not sure if it was very effective or appropriate... but it was different. If anyone else saw it feel free to give your views.
