spanish fairy tale esq film ( equivalent to Alice in wonderland), directed by Guillermo del Toro. Dark and magical tale combining the fantasy and reality of a child growing up in a military setting. Fantastical creatures, challenges dispair and violence. An emotion grabbing extremely powerful piece with amazing cinematography, gripping script and empathetic acting. Brilliant film, highly recommended!
