this is a must see film for anyone interested in animation, film or illustration, a friend hoping to enter the film industry came accross this while searching for things surrounding "le tour de france", and showed me, knowing my interest in animation and illustration.
It is quite unlike any other film I have seen. It is under 80 minutes long, although a French film there is very little speech. It runs in real time so appears a very slow storyline, but this helps form and build up lovable characters, all truly exaggerated characatures. The majority is handdrawn but enhanced by computer and reflects old fashioned animation techniques - you can clearly see similarities to early popeye and mickey mouse, the first generation.
The soundtrack is catchy and very carefully integrated into the script, i'm still singing it in my head.
